The Inland Revenue Department will employ the policy of assess first and then select case for field audit and investigation. Field audit and investigation involve a number of processes. The IRD will be based on the information provided in the tax returns and other supporting. Based on risk factor approach, cases will be selected by the computer programs. The selected cases will then be notified by letter. The selected companies are allowed to employ their tax representatives to represent them to make due with IRD. Initial interview will be conducted. During the interview, records and information are collected by the IRD. At the end, either the case is closed or additional assessment or penalty will be raised by IRD.
